  Pearl Harbor Day:

America’s dark and bleak time
A day still seen by many
Moments past in dread as in a crime
Harsh horror, deaths made plenty
Crises no one needs to face
Many life times made so short
As bombs exploded in the port.
All brought on by the human race.

Yet this day I can report
Is not a time so bleak and short
T’was not for such a time as this
My life would never have such bliss
For this day gave life to thee
Several years past such gloom
Only proves that what was
Does not always have to be.

Pearl Harbor day is gone
But not the hurts made wrong
Yet, even in death there is a song
For those who were made alone.
Knowing that harsh times will not cease
Until the time of lasting peace.
Still my love found a resting place
As time allows me your embrace.

The time has rushed past us
Moments have stolen years
Yet, no regrets have I with you
For you are my sun & moon.
You nourished me with love
I could not have stayed so long
Upon this earth without your song,
If not for you and Pear Harbor Day.
