I MUST READ; ACCOUNT- LOG IN I MUST READ; ACCOUNT- LOG IN

There is a possibility that the following scripture has often left you in a quandary.

Romans 14:12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God. For example if we stand before the throne of God do we give an account of our bad works and then very cleverly end with our good works. I think we would find ourselves very short in both cases. The reality is we have nothing to offer. We would be loss for words, loss for works and without hope. It is not surprising that the translators of the King James would use the English word “account” to substitute for the real word. They were instructed to keep everything as close as possible to present text in use in the 1600’s. Oh, let’s see. The only real texts used in that day were those provided by the Catholic Church. The interpreters set out to maintain the same control over the people as the Catholic Church exercised. What better way than to instruct that we must give an account for all our actions and sins even for those whom the Lord has forgiven. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. Psalms 103:12. Before we continue with this study let us look at the Greek word NT:3056 logos (log'-os); from NT:3004; something said (including the thought); (with the article in John) the Divine Expression (i.e. Christ): Logos comes from NT:3004 lego (leg'-o); a primary verb; properly, to "lay" forth.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. This passage of scripture relates to us that the beginnings of beginnings there was the word. The Word was and is God. The Word is logos in the Greek and is the Divine Expression of God and his Christ. By his word he makes himself fully available to hears of his word. Our capacity is not measured in works and good deeds but it is measured by the Word that is developed in us. John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: More assuredly he gave power for us to come into being because we were convince by his Word. This was a gift on God a “doron” in the Greek meaning a present of sacrifice. A gift only provided by the steadfastness of Jesus Christ in the hands of God, His every Word to us. Heb 5:9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; Obey, hupakouo in the Greek means to listen attentively and heed his words.

Now what is an author? He is one who is the causing agent. He is the agent that starts the process. There would be no salvation or chance to become a son of God without him. While we live and have our being in Christ we can be confident that his word is growing in us. He is writing in and on our minds and hearts his very self. Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Phil 1:6, Heb 12:2 Is there reason to wonder whether Christians today realize that it is not their actions or deeds that will propel them into heaven? It is not how good or how well they obey what they perceive is good and evil?

It is not how well they know doctrine or how well they follow the teachings of Christ. Certainly the disciples, the Apostles learned this when Jesus told them; If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it. (Luke 9:23” They heard these words but when Christ was arrested they all fled. Peter denied him three times. They did not take up his cross that day or week. Ah, but what a difference when Peter stood up with the eleven and proclaimed the day of Pentecost. What was the difference is was the inner working of the Holy Spirit in them. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. Gal. 6:15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. 16 And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.Oh, what blessing when we walk as new creatures. 2 Cor. 3:2 Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men: This is an interesting passage for Paul writes that we are letters something that can be read not only by all men but by our God. Paul knew the working of the Holy Spirit in the lives of Christians was real. Eph. 5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. Paul knew it was God’s purpose to present us before the Lord a glorious church. How unlike the words we hear from pulpits of despair and constant condemnation to the many believers. It is though there is a different gospel being preached. We are often told we are a book filled with volumes of sin and we must wait for the hope of glory in some other dimension. John said, Rev. 5:1 And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. Rev. 5:5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof. We are the book the Lord will break the seals t in order to read the pages.

When we present ourselves before the Lord the only one who will be able to open the pages of our lives will be Christ before the Lord. All of us will give an account before the Lord, heautoú lógon Literally himself’s word or word of himself. The Greek word logon was translated account but literally is the same word translated from Logos meaning the Word. Yes, John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. What we will be doing before God is opening the word of God that has been written in our hearts and minds. We will be presenting before the Lord the word that has become our life. It will be a beautiful offering before his throne for it will be what the Holy Spirit put within us. It will not be us but it will be him. Our hands will not be empty before the Lord. Our hands will be filled with his glory. Our Father will see his Son in us Jesus Christ the hope of glory. All the firstborn of thy sons thou shalt redeem. And none shall appear before me empty. Ex. 34:20 This makes our life pursuit not for ministry, deeds or works but a life that seek his life. We will have a life that enters into his rest ceasing from man, ceasing from works and most of all ourselves. We will not appear before the Lord empty but full of his Glory.Oh, thank you Lord for your provision so that we can be presented a Glorious Church to you wit out spot or wrinkle.
